After a cash outlay of some six dollars or so, I was deluged with response letters. But I'm cynical and always alert for a scam. Hmm, just WHY did all the letters seem like computerized variations on a general theme of...
1) undying adulation
2) wilting flowers in the desert
3) rapturous compliments about my photographs.
Hey I look okay...but I'm no Depp, Damon or DiCaprio !
As a test, I kept my profile "alive". But then I deleted ALL my photos, and emptied out ALL my sincere goals. Then replaced it with this exact text, on my profile page:
"...I am very disappointed with the letters I have received. Shallow, generalized, vague and not informative at all. Empty platitudes . Answers to my detailed, polite and sincere questions have been avoided or evaded. Quite obvious to me now, that this entire website is nothing more than a money-making fabrication..."
Despite the above, I am STILL receiving "letters" full of empty platitudes and promises of undying love. Plus (despite deleting all my photos) I'm STILL getting flattering remarks about my appearance. Anyone ever heard of a spam-bot?
Guys, these may indeed be real women. But how much money will you let these scam-artists EXTORT from YOU, until you eventually agree with my views in this post? For me, the entire exercise was the cost of a beer, plus a few thousand keystrokes.
Caveat emptor ("=buyer beware")...this is a scam if ever I've seen one.
In summary, I would not recommend Arabian Date to a friend.
